前川公民館提供。 前川村は、かつて糸数城の麓にあったが、土地が狭く、村の活動も限られていたため、1736年に現在の場所に移動したと伝えられている。 前川が現在の場所に移動して250周年にあたる1986（昭和61）年に、道ジュネーや記念式典が開催された。
