国宝、天燈鬼・龍燈鬼立像は、奈良市の世界遺産・興福寺の国宝館に安置されています。鎌倉時代、興福寺西金堂の仏前を照らすものとして作られた像で、鎌倉時代を代表する仏師である運慶の三男、康弁の作と言われています。愛嬌あふれる表情からは、康弁の遊び心と高い表現力が伺えます。
