世界文化遺産「古都奈良の文化財」のひとつ、唐招提寺。苦難の末に唐から日本に渡ってきた偉大な僧・鑑真によって、創建されました。境内北側にある御影堂には、国宝の鑑真和上像が安置されています。身をもって仏教の教えを実践して見せた鑑真和上の心は今も受け継がれています。
