新潟県弥彦村にある彌彦（やひこ）神社。境内には樹齢５００年の杉などが立ち並び、石畳の参道が続きます。彌彦神社に祀られているのは、天香山命（アメノカグヤマノミコト）。人々にコメ作りの技術を伝え、越後の地を切り開いた稲作の神様です。
