Description

益子焼は、関東随一の焼き物の里、栃木県益子町周辺を産地とする陶器です。益子焼には、焼き物には不向きな砂気が多く粘りの無い土が使われます。焼き物に最適とはいえない、粗い土の特徴を最大限に生かして作られた、素朴で手ごたえのある力強い美しさが特徴です。
