洞爺湖町は北海道の南部にあり、町の中ほどにはカルデラ湖・洞爺湖がある自然豊かなところです。湖畔にある洞爺湖温泉、その温泉街の中にある発着場から出る遊覧船で湖を観光することができます。温泉街からほど近い西山火口散策路は２０００年３月に噴火した火口です。噴火口を間近でみれることから、観光客に人気です。
