三好市は徳島県の西部、山間にあります。市内を流れる吉野川は四国一の激流と言われています。名所の「かずら橋」は、しらくちかずらなどのツルを使って架けられた高さ１４メートルの吊り橋です。３年毎に架け替えが行われます。児啼爺（こなき爺）は、三好市山城町上名に伝わる妖怪です。
