毎年１月下旬から、北海道上川町の層雲峡温泉で開かれる「氷瀑（ひょうばく）まつり」。水と自然の寒さだけで作られた氷の芸術が並びます。夜はライトアップされ幻想的な光景になります。会場には、子どもに人気のチューブスライダーや人工的に作られたアイスクライミング場もあり、多くの観光客をひきつけています。
