「青い目の見た大正時代の日本」は、１９１７年～１８年（大正６～７年）に撮影された日本各地の記録映像で、米国のスミソニアン博物館とＮＨＫが保管しています。江戸時代に硫黄採掘を行いながらつくられた共同浴場が始まりとされる登別温泉。大正時代になると馬車鉄道が開通し、観光客も訪れるようになりました。
