三重県東部に突き出る志摩半島。英虞（あご）湾はその南部に位置し、真珠の養殖で有名です。湾内には大小５０以上の島が連なり、その間に、無数の真珠いかだが列をなします。夕刻、島影の浮かぶ入り江があかね色に輝きます。
