Description

Japan saw poster production gain popularity in about 1910. Four years earlier, Dai Nippon Beer Company Ltd. was jointly established by Sapporo Beer Company Ltd., Japan Beer Brewery, Ltd., and Osaka Breweries, Ltd., and posters released every year by Dai Nippon Beer Company attracted public attention. This poster ad collection includes posters published before World War II by Dai Nippon Beer Company for about the 30 years after its foundation and those published from the war’s end to the present day by what is known today as Sapporo Breweries. The centennial history of poster advertisements is another aspect of Sapporo Beer's history.
