1978(昭和53)年6月15日　佐渡市羽茂村山寺田集落と村山集落の二つの集落で行われる羽茂まつりでは、新潟県指定無形民俗文化財の大神楽舞楽が奉納される。村山集落では「羽茂本郷の鬼舞つぶろさし」とよばれ、最初に赤鬼と青鬼の舞があり、その後、男役のつぶろさしと、女役のササラすりが登場する。草刈神社の例祭で奉納され後、門付けに家々を回る。
