1958(昭和33)年4月26日　新潟市中央区　 1958年4月29日より現在地に新潟駅は移転した。「明治三十七年に私鉄北越鉄道が通じ駅が出来、明治四十年からは政府に買収され国鉄駅となった旧新潟駅は、今の駅ができるまでは、現在のNHK新潟放送局辺りに駅舎があり、東映ホテルや弁天公園の場所は駅前広場であった。」（『越後路の四季いまむかし』「新潟駅」）
