1949（昭和24）年~1955（昭和30）年6月　新潟市南区白根　大凧合戦　凧合戦会場「川幅七十二メートル余りの中之口川をはさんで、東軍（白根市）と西軍（味方村白根）との間で行われる由緒ある大凧合戦は、三百年の伝統を持ち、弁慶、鯛町、謙信など東西合わせて十三組の大凧が勇壮な戦いを繰り広げる。」（『越後路の四季いまむかし』84頁）
