帷子とは夏季に着用する単(ひとえ)仕立の麻製の衣装である。松竹の立木模様に鶴亀をあしらった吉祥模様の帷子は晴(はれ)着(ぎ)用にあつらえられたのであろう。友禅染に刺(し)繍(しゅう)が加えられたシンプルなデザインが涼しげである。若い女性用の振袖を短くし、成人向けの留袖(とめそで)としている。
