通常の小袖に比較すると全体に大ぶりである。権力者から狂言師が拝領するために特別に大きく仕立てられた可能性がある。拝領した小袖を上から羽織り、一曲舞うという趣向である。紫色に染めた松皮菱模様の縫い締め絞りの技法は安土桃山～江戸時代初期の特色。
