Description
打掛とは、間着（あいぎ）と称する小袖の上に着用する表着（うわぎ）のことである。江戸時代後期になると、裾（すそ）の袘（ふき）に分厚く綿を入れ、裾を長く引きずるようになった。武家女性が着用したと考えられるこの打掛は、繻子地に模様を織り出した繻珍と称される錦製である。
