江戸後期の伊万里の染付大皿は意匠の面白さに格別のものがある。この大皿は日本橋を出発点とし、品川から大津までの五十三の宿場と終点にあたる三条大橋までの東海道が題材とした。円形の中にはそれぞれの宿場の風景を描いて、双六仕立てとなっている。
