Description
永見焼は、浜田藩の求めにより島根県浜田市長浜町に万治年間（1658～61）に開いた窯で、日用雑器を焼成した。八代の永見巌は彫刻を学び、精工で写実的な亀や蟹の置物を得意とした。本作では特に亀の肌の質感を箆による彫技で見事に表現している。
