Blade for a Long Sword ("Tachi") 太刀 銘 長光たち めい ながみつ

Description

This blade was crafted by Nagamitsu, a leading swordsmith in 13th-century Japan. Its thickness and broad shape imbue it with a commanding presence typical of swords from this period. By contrast, the white tempering line is intricately patterned and fades like mist toward the cutting edge, conveying a sense of delicacy.
