Description
原品は、薬師寺東院堂の像で銅造。その鋳造技法や銅質などから、同寺金堂の薬師如来三尊像と同時期に造られたものと考えられる。細部の装飾などに、中国・唐時代の影響がみられる。当模造は、山田が木彫技法を使って模したものである。
