Description
A beautiful woman traverses the snowy riverbanks of the Sumida River in Edo (present-day Tokyo). The artist Hiroshige (1797–1858) distinguished himself from the rest of the Utagawa school with his full-length depictions of beauties against backgrounds of famous places, while others would only portray their upper bodies.
