Description
The artist Sakai Dōitsu studied the Rinpa school of painting. This work is a reproduction of a famous painting, [Flowering Plants of Summer and Autumn], by the Rinpa master Sakai Hōitsu (1761–1828). It decorated the interior of a Japanese pavilion at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893.
