本品は数ある吉光の作品のうち最も
小ぶりで繊細なもの。差表にカーンの梵
字と利剣、差裏に二筋樋を掻くのは不動
明王の加護で所持者を護持することを
願ったものか。豊前国小倉藩主小笠原家
に伝来し、いわゆる『享保名物帳』には所
載されないが、秋田城介所持であったた
め「秋田藤四郎」と呼ばれる御家名物。
