Description
This is a copy of a score for sung poems, known as [rōei]. This anthology comprises 70 poems, including ones from the [Wakan rōeishū] poetry anthology, which was compiled by the aristocrat Fujiwara no Kinto. The Chinese writing is supplemented with Japanese characters to facilitate reading. The colophon suggests that this score was written based on a verbal teaching from the priest Shōgen of Kōfukuji Temple to another priest Rinkō in the third month of 1292.
