Description
「ワキ狂言」とあり、正月興行で三番叟の前に上演した祝儀物となるが、黙阿弥が村山座の正月興行に筆を執った機会は明治5年（1872）である。番付には載らないため出演者等の詳細は未詳だが、この時上演の『国性爺姿写真鏡』は古今を演じた三代目澤村田之助が劇中、病のための暇乞いに際した「一世一代」の口上を述べたことで知られ、黙阿弥としても格別の思い入れがあったと想像する。「河竹蔵」の朱印が見える。
