Description
右は、明治15年（1882）5月、春木座の二番目『三題噺魚屋茶碗』の大切へ清元による浄瑠璃として「妹背鳥来世道連」を書いたものか。絵本役割で確認すると実際の上演では竹本による浄瑠璃が門弟の竹柴進三らによって制作されている。中央には明治20年（1887）に進三へ宛てて書かれた書簡があり、進三からの江の島土産の御礼に黙阿弥の次女・島女が描いた団扇を届けさせた件等が記される。左は、朱筆によれば明治14年（1881）3月、新富座の上演看板下絵。
