隈：むきみ隈。若く一本気な性格を表すことから、荒事系では曽我五郎が必ずこの隈を描く。助六も実は曽我五郎なのでむきみの隈なのである。役者：十五代目市村羽左衛門。役名：『助六由縁江戸桜』の花川戸の助六実は曽我五郎。昭和8年（1933）3月、東京歌舞伎座公演時のもの。助六は粋でいなせで気風のよい、典型的な江戸っ子。羽左衛門の芸質にもっとも適う役である。添書：「昭和八年弥生／九代目團十郎追遠興行 助六を勤めて」。署名：「十五代目市村羽左衛門（朱印）羽左／衛門」。
