隈：筋隈。荒事の典型的な隈取の一つ。紅色の隈は勇猛果敢な正義の男性ヒーローの力強い筋肉の盛り上がりと血管の怒張を表す。役者：五代目市川三升（十代目市川團十郎）。役名：『伽羅先代萩』の荒獅子男之助。昭和11年（1936）1月、東京歌舞伎座上演時のもの。添書：「いて家の／太眉ひかむ／はつ鏡 子としの新春／男之助を勤めて」。署名：「三升併題」。
