Description

島女は黙阿弥の次女。黙阿弥の親友・柴田是真に入門し、是真十哲に数えられたが明治22年（1889）に夭折した。その画題は花鳥が多く見られ、短冊のほか扇面や団扇に描いたものも遺される。中央に二羽の鶴が嘴を向き合わせた構図の袱紗絵。なにかの祝儀に描いたものか。
