Description
歌川国芳門下の月岡芳年は、最後の浮世絵師ともいわれる一方、新聞や雑誌など新しいメディアの挿絵も精力的に手掛けていた。本図について目次に「兩婦一夫を争ふ圖」とある。障子を開けるお袖と、だらしない姿で酒を飲む小秀を描き、その後の争いにつなげる役割を持つ。
