Description
青銅製の小型の釣鐘。お寺の梵鐘（鐘)）に比べて小さいので「半鐘」とよばれた。迪宮裕仁親王（昭和天皇。1901-1989）が、大正5年11月3日の「立太子の礼」で、皇太子となられた記念に造られた。高岡消防団定塚分団（第3分団）旧蔵。有志の消防組員19名の名前が刻まれている。 半鐘は、火の見櫓や梯子の上に設置され、火事や天災などの非常時に打ち鳴らし、住民に危険を知らせたり、消防団を招集する合図として使われた
