Description
明治17年（1884）に黙阿弥が亡父・勘兵衛の五十年忌法要に際し、柴田是真の下絵をもとに堀田原の竺仙で染めさせ、五十年忌と白浪作者にちなむ「五十の浪」と名づけて門弟等に配ったもの。残った一反は糸が河竹繁俊のために仕立てさせたという。大正12年（1923）の大震災の際、火の粉を避けて一家は逃げ出したが、三日後に繁俊が奇跡的に焼失をまぬがれた箪笥の中からこの浴衣地を見つけ出し、大正14年（1925）、「五十の浪」を表紙に印刷した『黙阿弥全集』が発行された。
