黒の表表紙に赤インクで「劇評集」「Collected by S. Kashiwagi」とあり、見返しには「自昭和七年九月 至（空欄）」「劇評集」「Edited by Sencho」とある。柏木泉蝶は五郎の遠縁にあたる人で、当時五郎劇の脚本部に属していた。昭和9年（1934）5月までの五郎劇関連の新聞・雑誌記事が切り貼りされている。
