全12巻。アルス社より、昭和5年（1930）〜昭和8年（1933）にかけて刊行された。アルス社の社長は、詩人・北原白秋の兄だった北原鉄雄。『白秋全集』全18巻など文化・芸術関係に強く、『曾我廼家五郎全集』とほぼ同時期に『精神分析大系』というシリーズで日本初のフロイト選集を全14巻で刊行していた。
