Description
昭和14年（1939）10月、新橋演舞場で初演された「阿呆陀羅経」の小道具。本作で五郎は弟の罪を被って刑に服し、出獄後に阿呆陀羅経屋となった兄を演じた。江戸中期に大坂で始まったといわれる阿呆陀羅経は俗謡の一種。経文めかした文句を願人坊主とよばれた僧形の門付芸人が小さな2個の木魚をたたき、または扇子で拍子をとりながら歌い歩いて、銭を乞うたことから始まり、大正期には寄席芸としても演じられた。
