Description
司馬江漢が天明年間(1781-1789)に制作した風景銅版画のひとつ。中洲とは、隅田川の西岸、新大橋の南方につくられた埋立地で、寛政年間(1789-1801)に撤去されるまで納涼地・岡場所として栄えました。俗に三叉とも言われ、浮世絵版画では夕涼みの夜景として描かれた場所でした。江漢の銅版画は眼鏡絵として描かれたので、隅田川上流からの眺めということになります。遠くに見えるのは永代橋です。 【江戸の絵画】
