Description
司馬江漢は舞子浜（神戸市垂水区）の景色に強い愛着を抱いた画家でもありました。天明8年(1788)の長崎旅行の時、彼は初見の舞子浜について「道中第一の佳景」「絶景」などと評し、文化9年(1812)には老体を押して吉野を旅した後、わざわざ神戸方面に足を伸ばして舞子浜を訪れています。本図はその前後に描かれたと考えられ、江漢の晩年期の飄々とした作風が印象的です。 【江戸の絵画】【近世の神戸】
