Description
司馬江漢が天明年間(1781-1789)に制作した風景銅版画のひとつ。高い視点から俯瞰する表現をとっています。ここで司馬江漢の関心は富士山よりも、江之島・小動岬（こゆるぎみさき）を奇怪な岩塊として表すこと、池のように静かな太平洋に無数のさざ波を描き、ある種のリズム感を表出しようとしたのかもしれません。寛政年間(1789-1801)の油彩画「相州鎌倉七里浜図」（当館蔵）に見られるようなダイナミックな空間と動感を示すまでには至っていません。 【江戸の絵画】
