Description

日光市湯元から町東部の現在地に移築した建物。入母屋造の主体部両端から入母屋造の翼部を突出したコの字形平面で、真壁造の外壁に、刎高欄や腕木庇などの和風意匠を巧みに取り入れた外観とする。客室の床に銘木を使用するなど、近代の和風ホテル建築の好例。
