Description
この作品は、豊臣秀吉の朝鮮出兵のうち、「文禄の役」（1592年）の東雙城攻略の様子を描いた屏風と思われる。第２～４扇の城郭が東雙城。大手門の上で指揮を執るのが宗象賢であろう。朝鮮軍は整然と並び弓で城壁から反撃している。攻める秀吉軍の本営は、第２扇の下にみえる。その前に鉄砲隊が並び、最前線では二刀流の兵が朝鮮軍の放つ矢に苦戦を強いられている。第５・６扇には東雙城に向かって進む隊列がみられるが、朝鮮方の援軍であろうか。
