Kabuki, a form of traditional theatre, is still very popular today and continues to evolve. This webpage introduces kabuki-related materials at the Art Research Centre of Ritsumeikan University from various perspectives.
The Art Research Centre of Ritsumeikan University was established with the aim of archiving temporal art and intangible culture using digital technology. For this reason, the center has been collecting materials related to traditional performing arts from early on and has also begun to acquire and store a wealth of historical materials related to kabuki. This webpage introduces some of the masterpieces in the Art Research Centre's collections.
